In September 2016, on World Peace Day (21^st September), a Peace Pole was installed in Sandbach and commissioned on Saturday 24^th September in a short service. It contains the message ‘May Peace Prevail On Earth’ in four languages: English, German, Japanese and Arabic. It is situated on the corner of Scotch Common next to the faux crosses and close to the library.
